Siebel Forecasting Guide > Introduction >

How This Guide Is Organized

This guide covers prerequisite and administrative tasks of Siebel Forecasting. It also covers end-user tasks specific to using Siebel Forecasting. Use this guide in combination with Applications Administration Guide.

Applications Administration Guide covers the setup tasks that are common to each Siebel eBusiness Application, such as using license keys, defining employees, and defining your company's structure. It also provides you with the information you need to perform data administration and document administration tasks.

This guide assumes that you have already installed or completed the upgrade of Siebel Forecasting. If you have not, go to the Installation/Upgrade section of the Siebel Bookshelf and click the links to the guides that are relevant to your company's implementation.

The Siebel database server installation script creates a Siebel administrator account that can be used to perform the tasks described in this guide. For information about this process, see Siebel Server Administration Guide and the Siebel server installation guide for the operating system you are using.

NOTE:  Some chapters in this guide are for end users, some are for administrators, and some are for both.

If you are an administrator, it is recommended that you read Getting Started and Forecasting Migration first. These chapters provide information administrators need to know before using Siebel Forecasting.
