Accept Partial Quantity

The Accept Partial Quantity field is a major factor in how the bidding logic works in multiple-quantity auctions where bidders are using the AutoBid feature. The Accept Partial Quantity field is a TRUE/FALSE field that flags whether a bidder will allow Siebel eAuction to place a bid for a portion of the quantity bid (if the full quantity requested in the bid is not available).

When a bid has Accept Partial Quantity set to FALSE and the quantity requested is not available, that bid becomes a losing bid. However, when the bid is placed, and the current winning bidder is using the AutoBid feature, the winning bidder's AutoBid is activated and the bid amount is raised to match that of the losing bid.
