Creating Interfaces

To publish an Interface you will need to have the URL of a valid WSDL document containing at a minimum a WSDL portType.

To Create an Interface Record

  1. If you are not already on the Interfaces page, click the Catalog tab at the top left of the console.

  2. In the left hand navigation pane click the Interfaces node. This will load the Interfaces page in the central panel.

  3. Click the Publish a new interface link. The Publish a new interface wizard will load.

  4. In the WSDL Location edit field, enter the URL to a valid WSDL containing a portType. Click the Next button.

  5. Once the WSDL has been parsed and validated, edit its additional properties.

    • Description - provide clarifying information.

    • Usage - a short string whose meaning is reserved for the User or Registry Administrator to define.

    • Status - Is this a Beta test version? Has it been deprecated or obsoleted?

    • Compliance - If this interface has passed Web Services Interoperability or similar standardized tests for compliance to industry specifications it should be indicated here.

  6. Once some or all of these properties are set, click the Finish button.

When the interface is successfully saved to the registry the central panel will provide you with a message containing its namespace and a link to the details page for the newly published record.
