Design the Table Schema for the Disconnected Analytics Application

Identify the tables and their columns (table schema) that will form the data for the disconnected application. This is a critical step because the tables, their definitions, and structure determine the structure of the disconnected repository. Therefore, it is important to allocate enough time to design these tables correctly.

The administrator should decide what the disconnected database tables will be named. The names of the disconnected tables are not required to be the same as the names of the Siebel Analytics data warehouse tables. However, using the same table names in the disconnected database makes it easier to build the Physical layer of the disconnected repository and perform debugging tasks while developing the disconnected application.

The following are the primary tasks to perform in making your design decisions.
