Do Other Deployment Components Need Upgrading?

A Siebel Analytics platform upgrade is independent of the following deployment components:

• Data
• Database management systems
• Databases and database tablespaces
• File systems
• Load balancing software
• Remote clusters
• Web servers

However, you may also need to upgrade some of these components. Examples of possible component upgrades include the Web server, the database software, and ODBC drivers. The components needing to be upgraded depend on the version of Siebel Analytics you are upgrading from, the version you are upgrading to, and your deployment environment. NOTE:  If an upgrade of an environment component is required, then that component upgrade must be performed before the Analytics platform upgrade.
