Before you begin
Define the resource agreements for the process group. For more information about resource agreements, see Define constraints.
To define resource agreements for a process group:
Resource Requirement | Description |

Minimum # of Processes |
Minimum number of process instances that must be deployed. |
Maximum # of Processes |
Maximum number of process instances that can be deployed. The maximum number of process instances must be less than or equal to the number of processes that are configured for the process group when it is initially created. For more information, see Define process groups for a service. |
Minimum amount of CPU |
Minimum amount of CPU capacity (in MHz) required. |
Maximum amount of CPU |
Maximum amount of CPU capacity (in MHz) required. |
Minimum amount of memory |
Minimum amount of memory (in MBs) required. |
Maximum amount of memory |
Maximum amount of memory (in MBs) required. |
Software Name |
Name of the software required by the process group. Note: You can specify additional software requirements as resources agreements, as defined in Define constraints. |
Software Location |
Mount point for the software. Enter the full path name. |
IP Addresses |
IP addresses to use for the JVM instances in the process group. Enter an IP address for each JVM instance that was initially configured. |
The resource requirements are saved.
Repeat Steps 2 through 4 to define resource requirements for other process groups.
Verify that there are sufficient resources to start your service, as described in Confirm required resources are available for services.
Click Finish to define the service.
