Inbox Folder

To learn what notifications are and what they are used for, refer to What You Can Do with Notifications.

The Inbox displays all the notifications you have received. It displays the following information for each notification:

Column

Description

Displays the importance of the notification. signifies high priority; signifies low priority.

From

Displays the name of the user who sent the notification.

Subject

Displays a brief description of the notification.

Categories

Displays the categories associated with the notification.

Start Date

Displays the date on which the earliest task is scheduled to begin.

Due Date

Displays the date by which the latest task must be completed.

Status

Displays whether any action has been taken on any task.

You can perform the following actions in the Inbox:

When you click a notification, the following details display:

Detail

Description

To

Displays the users to whom this notification was sent.

Subject

Displays a brief description of this notification.

Categories

Displays the categories associated with this notification.

Attachments

Displays any documents associated with this notification. Click a document to view it.

Last Modified

Displays the most recent date on which any task's status was changed.

Tips

Click Tips to display any approved tips associated with this notification or to add a new tip (if you have permission). You can also specify whether you find each tip helpful.

Comments

Click Comments to display any comments from you or the sender or to add a new comment.

Print

Click Print to display the notification details in a printable format and to launch your computer's print function.

Notification Text

Displays the full description of this notification.

Task List

Displays the list of tasks associated with this notification. The following information is displayed for each task:

Tasks

Displays the name of the task.

Description

Displays what the task entails. The description might include a link to additional information (for example, detailed instructions).

Duration

Displays the amount of time the task should take to complete.

Start Date

Displays the date on which the task should begin.

Due Date

Displays the date by which the task must be completed.

Status

Displays whether any action has been taken on the task. To change the status, select a new status from the drop-down list and click Update.

Important: If all tasks are marked with a status equivalent to finished (this setting can be customized by your company), the notification will be moved to your Closed folder when you click Update.

Update

After changing the status of one or more tasks, click Update to save your changes.
