To learn what notifications are and what they are used for, refer to What You Can Do with Notifications.
The Outbox displays all the notifications you have created that have not yet been sent. It displays the following information for each notification:

When editing a notification, the item is locked and can not be sent. To unlock a notification open it in the Notification Editor and click Finish. | |
Displays the importance of the notification. signifies high priority; signifies low priority. | |
Subject |
Displays a brief description of the notification. |

Displays the users to whom the notification will be sent. |
Categories |
Displays the categories associated with the notification. |
Send On |
Displays the date on which the notification will be sent. |
Due Date |
Displays the date by which the task must be completed. |
You can perform the following actions in the Outbox:
To view the details of a notification, click the notification (you can click anywhere in the row). When you view the details, you can view and add tips. To learn about the details, refer to Notification Details.
To send a notification, click Create Manual Notification. For more
information refer to Create
or Edit Manual Notification.
Note: If you think you are supposed to be able to create manual
notifications, but you do not see the Create
Manual Notification button, contact your portal administrator.
To edit a notification, check the box next to the notification and click . For more information refer to Create or Edit Manual Notification.
To delete a notification, check the box next to the notification and click .
To search for a notification, type the text you
want to search for in the text box and click . Any notifications
in the selected folder that meet your search criteria will be displayed.

Note: Searches in the Outbox folder apply to the following fields:
To, Subject, and Categories.
To remove your search criteria and display all notifications after
performing a search, click .
To sort by column content, click the name of the column. displays next to the column name to show that the list is sorted in descending order by that column. If you click the column name again, the list will be sorted in ascending order () by that column.
If there are more than fifteen notifications, click Next (or click a page number) to view more notifications.
When you click a notification, the following details display:
