To learn what notifications are and what they are used for, refer to What You Can Do with Notifications.
Note: You must have permission to create system notifications. If you think you are supposed to be able to create system notifications, but you do not see the System Notifications folder, contact your portal administrator.
The System Notifications folder displays the following information about each notification:

When editing a notification, the item is locked and can not be sent. To unlock a notification open it in the Notification Editor and click Finish. | |

Displays the users to whom the notification was sent. |
Subject |
Displays a brief description of the notification. |
Last Modified |
Displays the date on which this notification was last changed. |
Rule |
Displays the name of the rule on which this notification is based. |
Task List |
Displays the task list, if any, that is associated with this notification. Notifications can also include user-defined tasks that are not listed here. |
You can perform the following actions in the System Notifications folder:
To view the notifications in a particular folder, click the folder.
To view the details of a notification, click the notification (you can click anywhere in the row). To learn about the details, refer to Notification Details.
To create a new notification, click Create System Notification. For more information, refer to Create or Edit System Notification.
To edit a notification, check the box next to the notification and click . For more information, refer to Create or Edit System Notification.
To delete a notification, check the box next to the notification and click .
To search for a notification, type the text you
want to search for in the text box and click . Any notifications
in the selected folder that meet your search criteria will be displayed.
For more information on how search works, refer to Rules
for Searches.
Note: Searches in the System Notifications folders apply to
the following fields: To, Subject, Rule, and Task List Template.
To remove your search criteria and display all notifications after
performing a search, click .
To sort by column content, click the name of the column. displays next to the column name to show that the list is sorted in descending order by that column. If you click the column name again, the list will be sorted in ascending order () by that column.
You must have permission to perform the following actions:
To create a new folder in which to store system notifications, click New Folder.
To edit a system notification folder (other than the root folder), click the folder, and then click .
To delete a system notification folder (other than the root folder), click the folder, and then click .
Note: If you do not have access to manage system notification folders, but think you are supposed to, contact your portal administrator.
When you click a notification, the following details display:
