To learn what rules are and what they are used for, refer to What You Can Do with Rules.
Note: You must have permission to manage rules. If you think you are supposed to be able to manage rules, but you do not see the Rules folder, contact your portal administrator.
The Rules folder displays the following information for each rule:

Displays the template upon which the rule is based. |

Displays the most recent date on which the rule was changed. |
You can perform the following actions in the Rules folder:
To view the rules in a particular folder, click the folder.
To view the details of a rule, click the rule (you can click anywhere in the row). To learn about the details, refer to Rule Details.
To create a new rule, click Create Rule. For more information, refer to Create or Edit Rule.
To edit a rule, check the box next to the rule and click . For more information, refer to Create or Edit Rule.
To delete a rule, check the box next to the rule and click .
All new rules are created as disabled, so that the BAM system (Business Activity Monitoring system) is not wasting resources monitoring for rules that are not being used. After associating this rule with a system notification, click Enable to tell the system to start monitoring for this rule. If a rule is no longer associated with any system notifications, click Disable, so that system resources are not wasted on monitoring it.
To search for a rule, type the text you want to
search for in the text box and click . Any rules in the
selected folder that meet your search criteria will be displayed. For
more information on how search works, refer to Rules
for Searches.
Note: Searches in the Rules folders apply to the following fields:
Name and Template.
To remove your search criteria and display all rules after performing
a search, click .
To sort by column content, click the name of the column. displays next to the column name to show that the list is sorted in descending order by that column. If you click the column name again, the list will be sorted in ascending order () by that column.
You must have permission to perform the following action:
To create a new folder in which to store rules, click New Folder.
To edit a rule folder (other than the root folder), click the folder, and then click .
To delete a rule folder (other than the root folder), click the folder, and then click .
Note: If you do not have access to create a new folder, but think you are supposed to, contact your portal administrator.

Displays the equation that must prove true after a system notification is sent before that same notification can be triggered again. |

Enabled |
Displays whether the BAM system (Business Activity Monitoring system) is monitoring for this rule. |
