Rules Folder

To learn what rules are and what they are used for, refer to What You Can Do with Rules.

Note: You must have permission to manage rules. If you think you are supposed to be able to manage rules, but you do not see the Rules folder, contact your portal administrator.

The Rules folder displays the following information for each rule:

Description

Name

Displays the name of the rule.

Template

Displays the template upon which the rule is based.

Last Modified

Displays the most recent date on which the rule was changed.

Rule Details

When you click a rule, the following details display:

Detail

Description

Rule

Displays the name of the rule.

Template

Displays the name of the rule template on which this rule is based.

Description

Displays a brief description of what this rule is used for.

Condition

Displays the equation that must prove true to trigger a system notification. The equation comes from the rule template on which this rule is based.

Parameters

Displays the values supplied in this rule that replace the variables in the condition and reset condition.

Reset Condition

Displays the equation that must prove true after a system notification is sent before that same notification can be triggered again.

Enabled

Displays whether the BAM system (Business Activity Monitoring system) is monitoring for this rule.
