The Configuration Expert gives you the ability to quickly define a simple BEA TUXEDO configuration from scratch, generate the configuration file(s), and boot your application using the given parameters.
In the Configuration Expert, you select configuration components from a configuration data file (data shared between developers), optionally server data coming from the C++ Expert or the Rose Expert, and an application configuration file (existing configuration previously saved by the Configuration Expert). With this information and other input that you provide (all via the graphical user interface), the Configuration Expert generates the configuration components.
Based on your input and direction, the Configuration Expert performs the following functions:
ubbconfig
file. (The name of the
ubbconfig
file is the name of the application, with the suffix .ubb
; for example,
BankApp.ubb
)
Note:
If run on a BEA TUXEDO server platform, the Configuration Expert also allows you to:
ubbconfig
) into the binary TUXCONFIG
file,
using the tmloadcf
command. The name of the TUXCONFIG
file is the name of
the application, with suffix .tux
.
