Please note that Guardian requires Java Version 5 to run.
The Guardian installation is performed by running the guardian_installer.exe executable. To run the Guardian installer on Linux in Console Mode (with no Graphical User Interface), run the command, ./ guardian_installer.bin -i console. Otherwise, when you run the Guardian installer, the InstallAnywhere preparation window appears.

The Guardian installer then takes you through the following steps:
Language Selection - select your native language from the drop down list and click the OK button.

Introduction - read the introduction and click the Next button.

License Agreement - read the license terms, select the "I accept" radio button, and click the Next button.

Choose Install Folder - select a folder in which to install Guardian and click the Next button. Clicking the Choose button allows you to navigate to the installation folder you want or create a new folder.

Pre-Installation Summary - review the Pre-Installation Summary and click the Install button to start the installation. Click the Previous button if you need to change anything.

Installing BEA Guardian - wait for the installation to complete.

Install Complete - click the Done button. Congratulations! You have successfully installed Guardian.

Once the installation is complete, you can start Guardian from the Windows Start menu, or by invoking the guardian.exe executable in your installation directory.
