Launching the Application refers to the two different ways to run BEA Guardian: using the Graphical User Interface and using the Command Line Interface. The Graphical User Interface provides more functionality and is easier to use. But the Command Line Interface provides scripting capabilities that the Graphical User Interface does not have.
