Workflows coordinate the receipt of RFID data with other kinds of device input and output, and use the Electronic Product Code Information Service (EPCIS) interface to communicate to enterprise applications. Often, workflow applications interact with users through stack lights, LEDs, and Console UIs. A workflow provides business context; it integrates raw RFID data into one step of an operational business process. Workflows are constructed from workflow modules, user-configurable building blocks used to create workflows in the WebLogic RFID Edge Server. A module takes input messages (event cycle reports or output from other modules), and emits workflow messages according to embedded business logic.
Use this page to view the workflow modules that are configured for the Edge Server. For each workflow, you define a descriptive module name, select a module type, and configure workflow-specific properties.
Column Display
Name Description Name The name of the RFID workflow module.
Module Type The workflow module type; one of the supported RFID workflow modules. The module type determines the properties that you configure for the workflow.
