The Active Expert presents TUXEDO services as methods inside ActiveX/OLE objects. All client tools that can function as OLE automation controllers can use the Active Expert interfaces as automation servers or ActiveX controls for easy access to TUXEDO services. The Active Expert makes TUXEDO services as accessible as any other Windows desktop tool.
A graphical user interface (GUI) called the Application Builder is your primary interface to the Active Expert. The Application Builder and other key components are described in the next section.
Figure 1-1 shows an architectural overview of the Active Expert development and run-time environments.
