Table  A-1 summarizes details about configuration parameters that you should keep in mind when updating your configuration of the B2B engine, trading partners, conversation definitions, collaboration agreements, logic plug-ins, and business protocols.

Trading Partners	General	Name	You can add a new trading partner at any time. Adding a trading partner does not require you to shut down and restart WebLogic Server. You cannot update a trading partner name once it has been registered. Workaround: Delete the obsolete trading partner name and create a new name in its place. Note that you cannot delete a trading partner if it is engaged in a trading partner session.

Note that certificates in use by trading partners cannot be updated without stopping the B2B engine. Also, when a certificate expires it must be replaced; in a large trading exchange, you can stagger the replacement of certificates. Always replace a certificate if you think it has been compromised.
