Installing and Updating WebLogic Integration 8.5 License Files
To use the WebLogic Integration software, and the WebLogic Platform product components it requires, you must have a valid license file installed on your system. WebLogic Integration and WebLogic Platform use an XML-format file called license.bea, which is created in the BEA Home directory by the installation program and is used for all the WebLogic Platform products installed in that directory. At run time, your BEA software checks this file to determine which product components you are authorized to use.
When you install WebLogic Integration 8.5, the installation program installs a non-expiring development license.bea file to enable you to start using the software immediately. The development license is a full license, enabling the use of all of the component features of the software that has been installed.
Note the following about the license.bea file when you install WebLogic Integration 8.5:
- If a
license.beafile already exists in the BEA Home directory in which you are performing an installation, the installation program automatically adds the development license included with your product distribution to this existinglicense.beafile. - The licenses for WebLogic Integration 8.5 are the same as for WebLogic Platform 8.1. If you have any existing WebLogic Platform 8.1 licenses, they will continue to be valid for WebLogic Integration 8.5.
