Rename a Visitor Role

You can only rename Visitor Entitlement roles that have not been set on portal resources. To rename a Visitor Role that is used on portal resources, create a new role with the name you want (using the same rules as the old role), set the new role on the portal resources, remove the old role from the portal resources, and delete the old role.

To rename a Visitor Role:

1. In the Visitor Entitlements Resource tree, select the Visitor Role you want to rename.
2. Right-click the role and choose Rename Role (or click Rename Role in the toolbar).
3. In the dialog box that appears, enter the new name for the role, and click OK.
4. If you receive a message that you cannot rename the role because you have set Delegated Administration on it, and you still want to rename the role, remove Delegated Administration from the role and follow this procedure again.
