Known Issues
- For additional installation information, see the Red Hat Linux for IBM S/390 and Z-Series when using WebLogic Server 6.1 SP3.
- The JDK on the 2.4 kernel requires the 20020415 version of
glibc
and two updates to the kernel:
- 20020521 version of the
k_deflt
patch
- 20020521 version of the
k_timer
patch
DownLoad Instructions for IBM SDK 1.3.1
Note: An IBM service contract is required to obtain service for IBM products. If you have any issues with the IBM Java JVM, contact your IBM Service Representative.
You can obtain the IBM SDK 1.3.1 externally from IBM.
To download IBM SDK 1.3.1:
- Select the 31 bit zSeries SDK1.3.1 from the following external download registration site
https://www6.software.ibm.com/dl/lxdk/lxdk-p
- After registration and acceptance of the license, the IBM Developer Kit for Linux, Java 2 Technology Edition for 31-bit zSeries (S/390) download page will be presented.
- Customers running Red Hat Linux 7.2 for zSeries should use kernel level
2.4.9-38
and install the additional OCO module fixes. The kernel rpms can be found at the Red Hat FTP site:
ftp://updates.redhat.com/7.2/en/os/s390/
And then download the kernel rpm:
kernel-2.4.9-38.s390.rpm
