This document describes how to configure and use Node Manager to control and manage servers within a WebLogic Server environment.
This document is a resource for system administrators and operators responsible for using Node Manager. It is relevant to all phases of a software project, from development through test and production phases.

Node Manager Overview, provides a general description of Node Manager and describes how it works within a WebLogic Server domain.It also provides detailed description of the configuration and log files used by Node Manager.
General Node Manager Configuration, describes configuration procedures that are applicable to the both the Java and scripted versions of Node Manager.
Using Node Manager, provides procedures for starting Node Manager and servers. This chapter also includes recommendations for starting servers to take advantage of WebLogic Server’s failover and migration features.
