JDBC Data Source Factories

Data source factories are included in this release for backward compatability only. Legacy application-scoped JDBC connection pools rely on JDBC data source factories to provide default connection pool values.

This page summarizes the JDBC data source factories created in this domain.

Column Display

Name Description
Name

A unique name that identifies this data source factory in the WebLogic domain.

User Name

The database account user name used in physical database connections. This may be overridden by user-name in the descriptor.

MBean Attribute:
JDBCDataSourceFactoryMBean.UserName

Changes take effect after you redeploy the module or restart the server.

URL

The URL of the database to connect to. The format of the URL varies by JDBC driver.

This may be overridden by url in the descriptor.

MBean Attribute:
JDBCDataSourceFactoryMBean.URL

Changes take effect after you redeploy the module or restart the server.

Driver Class Name

The full package name of JDBC driver class used to create the physical database connections in the connection pool.

This may be overridden by driver-name in the descriptor.

MBean Attribute:
JDBCDataSourceFactoryMBean.DriverClassName

Changes take effect after you redeploy the module or restart the server.

Factory Name

The name used in deployment descriptor files to reference this JDBC data source factory.

This is referenced from the connection-factory element in weblogic-application.xml.

JDBCDataSourceFactoryMBean.FactoryName
