There are two sides involved in the process of storing and forwarding a message: a sending side and a receiving side. A Store-and-Forward (SAF) sending agent stores messages to a persistent storage, forwards messages to the receiving side, and re-transmitts messages when acknowledgements do not come back in time. A SAF receiving agent detects and eliminates duplicate messages sent by the sending agent, and delivers messages to the final endpoint.
This page summarizes the SAF agents that have been created for this domain.
