Converting a Lead to an Opportunity


Complete the following procedure to convert and opportunity to a lead. When you convert a lead to an opportunity, an opportunity record is automatically created under the lead using data from the lead. For more information about converting leads to opportunities, see Siebel Marketing User Guide.

To convert a lead to an opportunity

  1. Tap Leads on the application banner to display the Leads list.
  2. Tap a lead in the list that you want to convert to an opportunity.
  3. Click Convert to convert the lead to an opportunity.

    NOTE:  Only a lead for a contact can be converted using the Convert button. If the lead is associated with a prospect, then you must promote the prospect to a contact before the lead can be converted.
