Specifying the Locale for Your UNIX Operating System
This topic is part of Planning Your Siebel Deployment. To successfully run Siebel Business Applications on UNIX, you must configure the appropriate locales on your operating system for the language that you will run the applications in. In some cases, you might have to install additional content on your system in order to support the locale. For LANG or LC_ALL settings on different UNIX operating systems for supported languages or locales, see Table 23. NOTE: The setting of the LANG environment variable does not affect database connections for Application Object Manager components for Siebel Business Applications. However, it does affect database connections used by other Siebel components.
