Preface

The Sun Fire 280R Server Setup and Rackmounting Guide provides instructions for installing and setting up the Sun FireTM 280R server in an Electronic Industries Association (EIA)-compliant standard rack.

After you set up the server, you will need to consult the Sun Fire 280R Server Owner's Guide for instructions about how to install the software. The software instructions are designed for an experienced system administrator with networking knowledge.
