Installing the Netra j 3.0 Software

After you download and extract the Netra j 3.0 software from the web, or mount it from the CD, you can install it following these instructions. If you are upgrading from Netra i 3.1-3.2.1 or Netra j 1.1-2.0.1, go to "Upgrading to Netra j 3.0".

Note -

Before installation, fill out the "Network Computer Configuration Form ". After installation, refer to "Installation and Upgrade Notes" for further information.

To Install the Software

As superuser, open a shell window and change to the Tools directory.
- If you downloaded the Netra j 3.0 software from the Web, type:
```
# cd /download_directory/Tools
```
- If you are installing the software from a CD, type:
```
# cd /cdrom/cdrom0/Tools 
```

Install the Netra j 3.0 software using the installation script.
```
# ./netra_install
```
For users in non-English locales, the installation script asks what locale to install. Select the most appropriate locale.
