Chapter 4, Upgrading a System discusses how to back up and plan for upgrading a system and how to set up, configure, and upgrade Solaris on a system. It also describes how to clean up after upgrading a system.

Chapter 5, Adding and Removing Software After Installing Solaris 8 describes how to add and remove individual software packages after installing the Solaris software.
