Java Studio Enterprise Server Reference (Solaris OS)

This appendix contains information about the Java Studio Enterprise servers installed on Solaris OS machines.

The default top-level installation directory for Sun Java Studio Enterprise 6 is /opt/SUNWjstudio. You may enter a different installation directory location during the install process. See Installation Directory Page for more details regarding allowable installation directory locations.

In the following tables, the top-level installation directory is referred to by the variable java-studio-install-dir. The default installation directory contains symbolic links to the actual installation directories for the component product servers.

Assigning Port Numbers

The Java Studio Enterprise installer uses default port numbers to configure the servers. The following tables list only the default port numbers. However, if the installer detects other applications using the same port numbers, it automatically assigns the next available port number from the private range of port numbers 49153-65534. You can find the actual port numbers for each server in the Summary Report at the end of installation.

This appendix lists reference details for the following component products:

Note - The variable server-name may be of the form hostname or hostname.domainname.
