Java Studio Enterprise Server Reference (Microsoft Windows Systems)

This appendix contains reference details for the Java Studio Enterprise servers installed on Microsoft Windows systems.

The default top-level installation directory for Java Studio Enterprise on a Microsoft Windows system is C:\Sun\jstudio. You may indicate a different installation directory location during the install process. In the following tables, the top-level installation directory is referred to by the variable java-studio-install-dir.


Assigning Port Numbers

The Java Studio Enterprise installer uses default port numbers to configure the servers. However, if the installer detects other applications using the same port numbers, it automatically assigns the next available port number from the private range of port numbers 49153-65534.

You can find the actual port numbers for each server in the configuration summary at the end of installation. See Finding Port Numbers for details on viewing this information.


Command-line Usage

Scripts for starting and stopping all servers from the command line can be found in the following installation directory:

Use the Windows utility Notepad to access the log files listed in the following tables.



Note - The variable server-name may be of the form hostname or hostname.domainname.
