Setting an Instance as Default

Once you have created a local or remote server instance, you must set it as the default server to deploy your applications to. There are two ways to set an instance as default.

To set an instance as default from the instance name node:

From the Runtime tab under the Server Instances node, select a server name node you just added.
Right click and select Set as Default.

To set an instance as default from the Default Servers node:

From the Runtime tab Default Servers node right click on the J2EE Applications or Web Module node and select Set as Default Server.
The Select Default Server dialog appears.
Select the server you wish to set as default and click OK.
The J2EE Applications or Web Module node display changes to reflect the selected default server.
