CST Interface Reference

The first table below lists the folders, buttons, and other features found in the CST console. The second table below shows the hierarchy of Event Cause Codes for the Why? button.

Create Service Event

Makes the User Comments field writable, to record a service event that captures specific actions taken on the system.

CST

Displays information about the installed CST software, such as its version number.

CST Status

Shows whether the CST software on the displayed system is currently up, down, or not responding.

Customer Contact

Admin dialog box

Stores customer contact information for a system admin contact and an alternative customer contact. The fields store a name, phone number, pager number, and email address for each.

Displays information about the available Disk Groups as created by the Veritas Volume Manager in this System. Information is tabularized as Name, Assoc, Length, State, K-State.

Installed Hardware

Displays information about the static Field Replaceable Units information found in this system. Information is further tabularized as Label, Description, Serial#, Part#, Revision#, Hierarchy and others. Highlighted only if available.

Pulls all events from the repository and displays them.

Get More

Button

History folder

Increases the number of displayed events from 11 to 22.

Get Statistics

Button

Statistics folder

Selects a range of time, retrieves the uptime and downtime statistics for that period, and displays them.

Global Event Cause Code Update

Main

Allows assignment of a cause code for an outage event on all the agents monitored by this middleware.
