ONC+ Developer's Guide

This book describes the ONC+ distributed services that were developed at Sun Microsystems. ONC+ technologies consist of a family of technologies, services, and tools. The technologies include Transport-independent remote procedure call (TI-RPC) was developed to make RPC applications transport independent. External data representation (XDR.) is an architecture-independent specification for representing data.
