3 Reviewing Sample Applications

This section describes how to install and run the sample applications provided with Oracle Application Express. Running and analyzing how an application works is an effective way to better understand how you can use Application Builder to build your own applications.

In Application Builder, you can create two different types of applications: database applications and Websheet applications. The main difference between these two application types is the intended audience. While database applications are geared toward application developers, Websheet applications are designed for end users with no development experience. See "Understanding the Difference Between Database and Websheet Applications".
