Boot the OS Manually (OpenBoot)

Use this procedure when you are at the OpenBoot prompt, and you want to boot the OS.

1. Obtain the OpenBoot prompt.

   See Obtaining the OpenBoot Prompt.

2. Boot the host using one of these methods:
   • Boot from the devices specified in the OpenBoot boot-device parameter:

     ok boot

   • Specify a device to boot from:

     ok boot boot_device

     where boot_device is a valid device from which to boot. For a list of valid devices, see OpenBoot Configuration Parameters.
