OpenBoot Prompt

When the host is powered on but the OS is not booted, you communicate with the OpenBoot firmware. OpenBoot firmware displays ok as its prompt.

This table lists the common tasks that are performed at the ok prompt:

Boot the host.	Boot the OS Manually (OpenBoot)
Configure OpenBoot parameters.	View All OpenBoot Parameters Change the Default Boot Device (OpenBoot)
Run diagnostics.	Refer to detecting and managing faults in the service manual for the server.
Reset and power off the host.	At the OpenBoot prompt, type `help reset` to display details about the `reset` command.
Eject media.	At the OpenBoot prompt, type `help eject` to display details about the `eject` command.
