Oracle ATG Web Commerce applications require a READ_COMMITTED isolation level for transactions. The default isolation level in WebSphere using MS SQL and DB2 is REPEATABLE_READ. To prevent deadlocks, use the WebSphere Administration Console to set the isolation level in the atg-bootstrap.war of your Nucleus-enabled application to READ_COMMITTED.
