About Customer Users

A customer user is a member with of a customer organization with basic access privileges to Oracle Advanced Support Portal. Once the individual's details have been added to the Oracle Advanced Support Portal Address Book as a customer user for the customer, they will receive e-mail notification. The account is activated when they log in to Oracle Advanced Support Portal.

Each customer user can use Oracle Advanced Support Portal to perform the following tasks:

About Customer User Administrators

A customer user administrator (CUA) is an optional additional privilege that can be granted to a customer user. Each customer can have one or more CUAs. CUAs can add individuals to their Oracle Advanced Support Portal customer address book, thereby creating users accounts for those individuals. They grant access privileges to their customer users through a combination of groups, roles, and policies.

About Service Provider Users

A service provider user is an Oracle employee who can access Oracle Advanced Support Portal. Service provider users can be granted access to view and manage customer organizations. When requested, service provider users can perform the following tasks on behalf of customer organizations.
