Update the RHEL Operating System Version

Before You Begin

You must already have RHEL installed on the server.

The server must have access to the web.

1. Run the yum update program.

   # yum update

2. Answer the questions and make your choices before the packages are downloaded and installed.

   You should periodically update the system using yum.

   For more information, refer to the man page. Type:

   # man yum
