How to Modify an Availability Suite Data Replication Device Group


Note -  You can also accomplish this procedure by using the Oracle Solaris Cluster Manager GUI. Click Partnerships, click the partnership name, then click the partnership name. In the Data Replication Components section, click the data replication device group name, then click Edit.   1. Log in to a cluster node.

    You must be assigned the Geo Management RBAC rights profile to complete this procedure. For more information about RBAC, see Securing Geographic Edition Software in Oracle Solaris Cluster Geographic Edition Installation and Configuration Guide .

  2. Modify the device group.

    This command modifies the properties of a device group in a protection group on the local cluster. Then the command propagates the new configuration to the partner cluster if the partner cluster contains a protection group of the same name.

    # geopg modify-device-group -p property [-p…] AVS-device-group protection-group
    –p property

    Specifies the properties of the data replication device group.

    AVS-device-group

    Specifies the name of the new data replication device group.

    protection-group

    Specifies the name of the protection group that will contain the new data replication device group.
