Note -  If you requested that the Oracle Solaris operating system (OS) be preinstalled on your server when you ordered the server, Oracle Solaris was preinstalled at the factory. If the Oracle Solaris OS is preinstalled on your server, but you do not want to use it, you can install any other supported operating system or virtual machine software on your server.

If the Oracle Solaris OS was preinstalled, it was installed with the server UEFI/BIOS Boot Mode set to Legacy. If you choose to boot the server with the UEFI/BIOS Boot Mode set to UEFI, the preinstalled image will not be accessible. If you want to use the Oracle Solaris OS with the UEFI/BIOS Boot Mode set to UEFI, you must perform a fresh installation.
