Resetting a patient password

If patients forget their passwords, a user with the appropriate rights can reset the passwords.

Note: When you reset a password, the new password does not appear in the profile. When you set a temporary password, the new password appears in the profile and the password must be changed immediately. For more information, see Setting a temporary password for a patient.

Before you can reset a patient password:

  1. Select Patients (Patients icon. Click to navigate to the Patient List page.).

    The Patient List page appears.

  2. Select the radio button for the patient.
  3. Click Reset Password.

    A confirmation dialog box appears.

  4. Click OK.

    The next time the patient signs in, the application requires the patient to change the password.
