To explore the demo fully, you need to start the ATG Control Center (ACC), which is a graphical interface to many of the development and maintenance tasks involved in building Web sites with the Oracle Commerce Platform product suite. For example, you can use the ACC to create and preview content pages, manage visitor profiles, and set up the business rules that determine how you will personalize content for each visitor.
The way in which you start the ACC depends on how you installed your Oracle Commerce Platform components. To start an ACC that is installed on the same machine as the rest of the product suite:
Point your browser to the Dynamo Server Admin interface (
http://localhost:port/dyn/admin, where the default port numbers on JBoss, Oracle WebLogic, and IBM WebSphere are 8080, 7001, and 9080 , respectively. For more information, see the Platform Installation and Configuration Guide).The default user name and password are
admin/admin. If you are the first person to enter the default user name, you are prompted to select a new password. Otherwise, ask your system administrator for the values to enter.Click the appropriate start button.
Use Start ACC in Server VM if you want to run the ACC on the same machine that runs the server and you want to conserve memory.
Use Start ACC in Separate VM if you want to run the ACC and server stack on separate machines or you want quicker startup loading.
When the ACC starts, you are prompted for a user name and password. Enter the information you supplied in step 1.
Alternatively, you can install a standalone copy of the ACC on your local machine and run it from that location.
Start the local copy of the ACC.
Enter the username and password (initially
admin/admin).In the Host Name field, enter the name of the server where Quincy Funds is running.
Enter the port number for the ACC, by default 8860.
