Standard Tasks

To create standard tasks, select Configuration>Quality Mgmt>Navigator>Standard Tasks. To efficiently create standard tasks you must have setup Work Categories and Priorities first. The standard tasks you create here are the tasks that you will select from when creating a Quick Task (QT).

Tasks Screen

The Tasks screen displays the following information.

Search Criteria

Tasks

All. Select the radio button to display both the active and inactive tasks.

Active. Select the radio button to display only the active tasks.

Inactive. Select the radio button to display only the inactive tasks.

Work Category. Since each task must be assigned to a work category, you can search for tasks by work categories. Open the Work Category drop down list and select a work category.

Description. Since each task must have a description, you can search for tasks by description.

Property. (Available when the OPP_MHOT PMS Multi-property add-on license is active.) Select the down arrow to choose the property to configure tasks.

Grid Display

X. Mark an X in this column and select the Copy button to copy the task to one or more other properties.

Type. Displays what type of task it is.

Task Code. Numbering task code system. Opera recommends you map out your task numbering schemes in advance.

Description. Description of the task.

Work Category. Work category that the task is assigned to.

Time. Estimated time it takes to complete the task.

Unit of Time (UOT). Default unit of time.

Frequency. How often the task needs to be completed.

Priority. Importance of the task based on  the Priorities that are setup.

Active. Displays if the task is active or inactive.

Buttons

Copy. (Available when the OPP_MHOT PMS Multi-property add-on license is active.) Select this button to copy the tasks marked with an X in the X column to one or more other properties. Once copied to another property the task may be edited for that property.

Translate. Will translate the highlighted task into the another language, the user selects, other than the one you have setup as your default.

New QT. Create a new Quick Task. (See Quick Task for details.)

Edit. Select to edit the highlighted task.

Delete. Select to delete the highlighted task.
