Disable Login

You may prohibit logins to a property by selecting Utilities>Property Config>Disable Property Login . This option is useful whenever there is a need to keep others from logging into the property, for example during maintenance, upgrades, etc. When the Disable Property Login option is selected, you are presented with a multi-select list where you can choose the property or properties for which new sessions should be prevented.

Disabling Property Login

Select one or more more properties for which you want to prevent access.

Select OK when you are through.

If users are already logged into the property when the property is disabled, they will be broadcast a message notifying them they will be logged off. After users are logged off, they are prevented from logging in again.

Enabling Access to Specific User Groups

Disabling access to the property(s) will apply to all users unless you want certain user groups to be able to login. Allowing certain users to have access to a disabled property can be done through the application setting General>Login to Disabled Properties. At this setting, you will be able to select the user group(s) that can login to the disabled property(s). If desired, you may create a new user group for this purpose.

Enabling Property Login

To once again allow all user logins, uncheck the properties that were selected.

Note: Disable Property Login is also used “behind the scenes” when the Change Property ID utility is being run. Change Property ID calls Disable Property Login to prohibit any new sessions from being started; Change Property ID also terminates all current user sessions. Once the property ID has been changed, Change Property ID automatically re-enables property logins.
