Description. Activates guaranteed availability functionality for members.

Internal Name. MEMBER_GUARANTEED_AVL

Property Determination. When set to Y, properties can guarantee the availability of a room/rate combination for a primary membership type even if the selected room/rate combination is sold out for the property. The only exception is when a room/rate combination falls on a "black out" date for the property. In this case, a "blacked out" date will not be available. When a membership type/level is defined with membership rate as guaranteed, agents can override any existing restrictions, select the rate for a qualified member, and complete the reservation even if the selected room/rate combination is sold out.

Note: Rate codes that are configured for guaranteed availability are displayed in blue type on Rate Availability and Rate Query. Such rates are only displayed in blue type when an agent overrides an existing restriction to make the rate code available for the qualified member.
