OPERA Configuration Items for ADS

Note: The Opera license code for ADS (OPA_xxx) is required.

Market Codes. Market codes should be derived from the rate code header, as the interface will not populate a market code.

Source Codes. Source codes are first derived from the rate code header and if no entry exists, it is taken from the Name field on Channel Setup. This source code should be built as a source code in Opera for tracking/reporting purposes.

Note: As of Opera 3.0.2, a new parameter (ADS SOURCE CODE) has been introduced to help with source codes. For additional information, see Opera Application Functions, Settings, and Parameters for ADS.

Origin Code. The origin code will always be populated as the Channel Type, which should be set to "ADS". This should be built as an origin code in Opera for tracking/reporting purposes.

Minimum and Maximum Stay Through. Before using the Opera ADS-Expedia interface, you must set the minimum/maximum stay through parameters for each rate code used in the channel. You can change this through the Rate header tab of the Rate Codes screen. For information on setting the minimum and maximum stay through, see Editing the Rate Header Tab for ADS Expedia.

Note: The minimum stay through must be set to "1", and the maximum stay through must be set to "31". For additional information, refer to the rate code documentation found in the standard Opera help.

Block or House. Opera ADS offers the ability to sell inventory in business blocks or from the house. This feature is configured differently depending on the version of Opera installed.
