Schema Management (PMS Analyze)

When the Schema Management user permission is active, the Schema Management Utility (Utilities>Tools>Schema Management) displays the Schema Management Utility screen. This utility is used by Oracle database administrators for researching and analyzing database status, inventory, connectivity, and performance issues.

Note: When schema maintenance is in progress, the OXI Processor will be disabled by the schema maintenance utilities.

Schema Management Utility Screen

This screen shows the User Name, Database Alias, and Current Fix version number of the Opera application currently in use.

Enter the Opera Property Version number, Build No., and Fix No. in the appropriate fields.

DB Status. Displays the Object Name, Object Type, and Status, in addition to the total number of invalid database objects, and disabled triggers, and disabled constraints. From this screen, the database administrator can Compile, Show Errors, Refresh, and Close the screen.

Inventory. Available when the Opera Hotel Version, Build No., and Fix No. fields have values entered into them, select to display the Object Type and Total number of valid objects in the database. Click Add to File to create a file (Yes/No) as inventory_check.txt in the FIU (Fidelio Implementation Utility) folder and press OK, then Close to close the screen.

New. Displays the New Instance Connection where you can enter Username, Password and DB Instance to create a new instance connection. Press OK to continue or Cancel to exit the screen.
