Start with a copy of the existing components in the <ATG11dir>/Portal/paf directory, as described in the Copying the Portal Template section.

Edit the portal framework configuration files, as described in the Editing Portal Framework Files section.

Set up the portal database, as described in the Setting Up the Portal Database section.

Assemble, deploy, and start up your portal application. Use the Portal Administration to set up and administer communities, as described in the Starting Up Your Custom Portal Module section and in the Portal Administration Guide.
