Ensure that the following requirements are met:
If you want to configure the boot drive (that is, the storage drive onto which you are installing the OS) for RAID, you must do so before you install the Linux OS. Refer to Configuring Storage Drives for Operating System Installation in Oracle Server X6-2L Installation Guide.
You have access to the host console display. For more information about this option and setup instructions, see Selecting the Console Display Option.
You have prepared the boot environment. For more information, see Preparing the Boot Environment.
You have verified that the UEFI firmware settings are set correctly. For instructions, see Verify the UEFI Optimal Defaults.
You have set the firmware to the desired boot mode, Legacy BIOS or UEFI. For instructions, see Set the Boot Mode .
You have prepared the boot media. For more information, see Selecting the Boot Media Option.
You have selected the installation target option and ensured that it is properly installed. For more information, see Selecting the Installation Target.
