Performing a Siebel Smart Answer Search from Service Requests in Siebel Open UI


The Siebel Search Center supports integration with the Siebel Smart Answer knowledge base for manual or automated searches. For information on configuring and using Siebel Smart Answer, see Siebel Smart Answer Guide.

To perform a Siebel Smart Answer search from Service Requests in Siebel Open UI

  1. Navigate to the Service screen, and then the All Service Requests view.
  2. Query for the service request that you want, and then click Go.

    The service request details are returned

  3. From the service request applet, click Smart Answer to execute a smart answer search from the service request.

    The results are displayed in the Smart Answer All Results view.

    NOTE:  No configuration is required for the new Smart Answer All Results view, which is available by default in Siebel CRM. In Siebel Tools, the business service is Invoke Search, the name of the user property is GotoOUISAFindResultsView, and the value is Smart Answer All Results View.

  4. From the Smart Answer All Results view, click the hyperlink to go to the results of your search.
